Thermograms
are images compiled from usually between 40 or 50 thousand individual
temperature measurements that should be sensitive to within one
hundredth of a degree centigrade. A color scale, normally 16 colors
is divided between a range of temperature. In this case the 16
colors are divided into an 8 degree range which gives half a degree
per color for visual interpretation.
